About Us

When Fred H. Straub Sr. opened his jewelry store at Germantown Avenue and Silver Street over a century ago, his goal was simple: to provide his clients and friends with truly personalized service. The street clock he placed out front became a symbol of that exceptional service, quickly turning into a North Philadelphia landmark. In 1959, the iconic clock was moved with us to Abington—where it still stands today—once again earning its place as a cherished local landmark. After 63 years in Abington, Fred H. Straub Jewelers relocated to Spring House in 2023, where we continue to offer the same high level of care and service, now in a new, state-of-the-art location. Today, three generations later, we proudly showcase a wide selection of fine jewelry, engagement rings, and gifts.
